Significance :

Hanuman temple in yalagur is famous as shri yalaguresha in both Bagalkot and vijaypur district. According to mythology lord shri rama stayed here a while in yalagur in his journey of ayodhya to lanka, normally in every village there will be a hanuman temple at the border of the village, but it is said that for 7 villages around yalaguresh temple is alone hanuman temple due to suggession of lord shri rama and still it is obeyed here by centuries. Yalagur is located on the bank of Krishna river and temple looks like cave temple but front portion is renewed now. Thousands of devotees and visitors from many districts will visit here regularly.
